The Wrecks

Light Tackle Fishing Key WestScattered all over the Florida Keys with the largest concentration off of Key West out to the Dry Tortugas. Some are sunk on purpose, others found their fate in storms. West of the Marquesas Keys there are many that were used for targeting. All of them worth visiting for the fishing and adventure offering a mixed bag of fish such as Cobia, Permit, Huge Barracudas, Kingfish, sharks, Goliath Groupers, Groupers, Snappers, Amber Jacks and More.

The Reefs

All along the Florida Keys are the reefs. The only living coral reefs in the continental US. Stretching from Miami all the way past the Dry Tortugas these reefs are alive with a huge ecosystem. Super versatile to fish as there are reefs on both sides of the island chain Reef fishing is a great way to enjoy your day on the water here in Key West and the Florida Keys. Fish shallow on the patch reefs in 15 - 35 ft of water or use the mid reefs to fish in 80 - 130 ft of water, venture out a bit farther to the humps and ledges to fish to depths of 700 ft. using electric reels for deep dropping. All areas are great for bottom fish such as Groupers and Snappers with a side order of Pelagic species such as Kingfish, Mackerel, Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Dolphin and more.

The Dry Tortugas

A specialty trip offered by only a handful of fishing guides this trip is by far the ultimate in wreck reef light tackle fishing. Some guides offer overnight 2 day trips, others offer day trips. A National Park Permit is required to fish inside park boundaries. Trips and costs vary.

The Boats

Able to sustain over 32knts with some that cruise around 40 you can be sure to get to the fishing grounds quickly and have a stable fishing platform while you are there.
