Florida Keys party boats generally offer four hour and six hour and some nightly trips. The boats are typically 40 to 70 feet long and can carry passengers from 20 to 60 persons. Rates can vary from $40-$100 per person. Depending on the boat rods and reels may be supplied or rented for a very small fee. The party boats usually have snacks and sodas for an extra cost. Bottled waters are typically free.

The Florida Keys offers party boat fishing in Key Largo Islamorada, Marathon and Key West. Booking in advance is important during season, which is generally January through August. Seasick

Sea sickness on the party boats can be a concern. There are so many ways to mitigate any problems with this through modern medicine and techniques. Over-the-counter Dramamine seems to work best for most folks if one pill is taken in the evening and the next pill is taking one hour before you get on the boat. This will generally sort out any seasick problems. However, if you do get sick, keep in mind there’s other people on the boat and you probably will not be coming in until the end of the charter.
